He has authored articles in the American
Journal of Political Science, American Political Science
Review, Social Science Quarterly, and the Review of Politics.
He has also published chapters or reviews in The Encyclopaedia
of Democracy, Polis, Politikos II: Educating the Ambitious,
and Political Philosophy and the Human Soul. Ruderman
has received research grants from UNT, the Earhart, and
John M. Olin Foundations. In 1999 he received a teaching
grant from the Templeton Foundation and a Developing Scholars
Award from UNT. His research interests include: classical
political philosophy, liberalism, contemporary political
theory, American political thought, leadership and the
executive. Formerly with Colgate University Ruderman joined
the department in 1993-1994.
