CURRENT INFORMATION SOURCES:
Newspapers
Check out the Times of London . Its a fine broadsheet. And it has a very nice connection to European News -- look for the EU Logo on the Front Page.
A good place for english speakers and readers to start catching up on Europe is The Electronic Telegraph, the net version of London's Telegraph. Its a little on the conservative side, but it is up to date (you can read it before most Brits get up).
For a mildly leftist take, try browsing the interent version of The Guardian.
Financial and general British and European information is available fromThe Financial Times: its a bit like our Wall Street Journal.

General Information on Many European Governments
Thanks to Gunnar Anzinger for the EUROGOVERNMENTS page. It has an astounding amount of information and references. Check it out.
Political Party Pages (See also individual nation pages.)
The Univerity of Keele maintains a list of the net pages of most European Political Parties, some Interest Groups, and assorted other stuff.
Isn't that nice?

THE EUROPEAN UNION
To start, check the Europa homepage. Its official!
For more information, try the European Union Basics Faqlist. This is really loaded with useful information on the EU, and places to find more. OK, so it's not totally up to date. It's free, isn't it?

INDIVIDUAL EUROPEAN NATION INFORMATION
Click on each nation's flag. Its a good way to learn the flags of European Nations.
