On this site, we will provide you with the dataset used in a recent study by Poe and Tate which probes the violations of human rights to personal integrity in the 1980s (Poe and Tate 1994). The findings in this study are reported in the 1994 December issue of American Political Science Review and in the 1999 International Studies quarterly (Poe, Tate, and Kieth).
