Acceptances Prof. Phil Paolino's "Voter Behavior in Democratizing Nations: Reconsidering the Two-Step Model'' was accepted for publication by Political Research Quarterly. Getting Ink Professor Dave Mason's “Structures of Ethnic Conflict: Revolution versus Secession in Rwanda and Sri Lanka,” appears in the latest issue of Terrorism and Political Violence. Dasha Radin's article, "The Impact of the World Bank on Health Care Reform in Transitional Economies" was published in the Croatian Political Science Review. GrantsProf. Phil Paolino has been awarded a $13,600 grant from the Chiang Ching-kuo Foundation to study, "Semi-Presidentialism and Voters' Views of Divided Government in Taiwan." |
Professional News Christian Family Peace Professor David Mason has been asked to be a member of an American Political Science Association Task Force on Political Violence and Terrorism. It will be modeled on the Task Force on Inequality and American Democracy that has just produced its report. Appearances Prof. Steve Forde presented, "John Locke's Natural Religion at the 2004 American Political Science Association meetings in Chicago, IL; September 1-5. Prof. Emile Sahliyeh presented, "Tracking the Progress of Democracy and Human Rights in the Middle East at the Second Annual Middle East & Central Asia Politics, Economics and Society Conference (Sept. 9th-11th, University of Utah).
