Departmental Assistance
The department typically funds
25-30 graduate students for
full-time (20 hours/week) and part-time (10 hours/week). The UNT
political science graduate students are among the most highly paid
graduate students in political science in the state. Applications
and materials are due January 31 of each year for the next
academic year. Awards are
normally announced in March.
The department also offers tuition grants to PhD students on a
competitive basis, and makes travel money available to all graduate
students
who are presenting papers at conferences.
