A D M I S S I O N   R E Q U I R E M E N T S

There is a two-stage process for admission.  Applicants must complete all admission requirements of the Toulouse School of Graduate Studies, in addition to the following program requirements.

 

MASTER'S and DOCTORAL Degree Admission Requirements
    NOTE: Application dossiers are considered in their totality. No single criterion determines whether students will be admitted to the program.
  1. Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
  2. Minimum of 24 hours of undergraduate or graduate work in political science
  3. Acceptable GPA on the last 60 hours of undergraduate study
  4. Acceptable scores on the verbal and quantitative sections of the GRE.
  5. Three letters of recommendation are required from individuals qualified to evaluate the applicant's academic potential.  (Letters from professors are expected, but letters from employers or other may be submitted if faculty references are not available).
  6. A 500-word statement of purpose stating the applicant's primary area of interest within political science and career objectives
  7. An academic writing sample (may be a course paper or similar document).

To Toulouse School of Graduate Studies:

  1. Official transcripts from all institutions attended.

    International Students
    must complete the International Students admission application

  3. Official GRE Scores
  4. Application fee     

To Department of Political Science:

  1. Three letters of recommendation
  2. 500 word statement
  3. Academic writing sample.
